The first day.....

It took us a year and a half to buy the hotel, so when we finally signed the papers in February it was oddly uneventful. We couldn’t start anything until spring and I had to get back to Chicago for a big shoot. But we had to go visit the hotel as new owners! So we got up at 5am in the snow and dark with our new Onni puppy and rode an empty ferry. It was so cold in the hotel we curled up together on a twin bed in room number 1 with old blankets and took a nap. It was Onni’s first time and he loved it, ran up and down the halls and sat in every chair. He still does.
